The words

Every word in these pages you could not have guessed, in one list.

Read the first group. Come back to the rest when a word catches you out.

Things you build

WordWhat it means
atomOne thing on a screen: a question, a picture, a paragraph, a button.
sequenceThe thing somebody opens and works through. An ordered set of pages, one on screen at a time, each page holding atoms.
journeyThe rules that decide who gets what, when, and what happens next.
surfaceA named strip on the home screen. It decides how things look and where they sit, never what they are.
assetA picture, a video or a sound file, kept in one library for your space.

Things the platform makes

WordWhat it means
deliveryOne person’s copy of one sequence, put on their screen. The journey makes these, not you.
occurrenceOne due date inside a delivery. A daily check-in has one occurrence a day.
responseOne answer, saved against one occurrence.
scoreA number worked out from the answers, using rules you set.
bandA name given to a score, like Low or Moderate. Journeys branch on the name.

People and places

WordWhat it means
participantThe person using the app.
coachSomebody who works with participants and can read their records. The platform's word for the care provider, whoever that is in your service: a nurse, physiotherapist, exercise physiologist, dietitian, navigator or health coach.
adminSomebody who runs a tenancy and can read everything in it.
salesA seat that can fetch a sign-up link and read no participant records at all.
tenancyOne customer’s own separate space. Its own people, content, colours and link.
cohortA named group inside a tenancy, with its own sign-up link and its own starting journeys.
the portalThe website where you and your team set all this up.
the appWhat a participant has on their phone.
tokenA {{ }} marker in your copy that is replaced with something the participant told you earlier. Also called autofill.

Settings you will meet

WordWhat it means
trackedWhether an answer shows on the participant’s own Progress page. Defaults to yes.
persistentWhether a finished item stays on the screen with a tick, or leaves.
dismissableWhether somebody can put an item away without answering it.
closableWhether they can back out of something they have opened. Off is the blocking consent screen.
revisableWhether an answer can be changed afterwards.
scheduleWhen something is due. Once, weekly, or every so many days.
priorityWhere a surface sits down the screen. Lower sits higher.
tierThe level of the product a tenancy is on.
draft, published, archivedWhere a piece of content is in its life. Only published content can be given to anybody.

Words for the rules

WordWhat it means
nodeOne step in a journey. It does things when somebody arrives, then chooses where they go.
transitionA way out of a node, with the rule that decides whether it is taken.
conditionThe rule itself. Compares something about the person to a value you set.
actionSomething a node does on arrival: give them a card, send a message, raise a task.
signalA measure read from the phone: steps, sleep, heart rate and the rest.
tagA label on a person that you set, and that a rule can read.
groupA set of people you can hand something to, or write a rule about.
extraA stored value about a person that came from somewhere else.

One sentence, if you only keep one

A journey creates deliveries. A delivery puts a sequence onto a surface. A sequence is made of atoms.
